“Butterfly Station” is an anomaly in the everyday life of a curator. D.S is an international artist residency, a transit point managed by the NIDA Art Foundation, located directly on one of the most active bird and insect migration corridors in Europe – the Curonian Spit.
The station’s infrastructure is dedicated to creative metamorphosis, a chaotic and often uncomfortable process where old ideas dissolve and new ones take shape. D.S provides a safe cocoon between the shifting sands and the melancholic vacuum of summer.
